The book Fahrenheit 451 by Rad Bradbury is about a weird society. A fireman named Montag would burn books that were illegal. In this world, firemen would start fires rather than stop them. The way the author described this world, sounded very depressing and boring. The people in this society would do nothing but watch tv and listen to the radio, this was a everyday thing where the people would not be social at all.
About half way through, Montag meets Clarisse; a neighbor. Clarisse opened his eyes about his miserable and empty life, by asking questions that Montag never thought about. Montag then begins to question if books are really that bad, Leading to certain tragic events, he starts to read books and then starts to question the government.
Relating to the books, the police or government has higher power over anyone. The government burns any books or magazines that may have information that will open the eyes of the people. In this specific world, the government kind of brain washes the people to just watch television and listen to the radio. Additionally, the author portrays the people as zombie-like, as if they don't feel nothing.
The connection that the author made with real life is surreal. The author made predictions in the book that came true later as technology was developed. The book relates to the addiction of video games, movies, social media, and the internet. It also has a connection to how offended people get these days.
It may be concluded that the author explained how bad people are addicted to social media, videos game etc..
